As a practitioner working with Calmer Solutions Limited you no doubt will have many questions.  What we have tried to do is put together a list of the ones we have most frequently been asked.

If however you do have questions that are not covered here please do not hesitate to ask.

Q. What’s in this for Calmer Solutions ?

A. Calmer Solutions was started because of one persons wish to help people with learning difficulties.  However, we are a business and we are funded by taking a small piece of the money that you charge for your services.  For example, if you provide two hours therapy in a home at £40 pounds an hour we raise an invoice to the home or controlling body of £80.  You then receive a cheque from us for £70. We aim to make £10 per visit. 

Q. How much will it cost me to get involved ? 

A. That’s an easy one, nothing.  We will perform the mail shots for you and provide the invoicing and credit control. If you are not CRB checked then we will even pay for that. 

Q. How long will I have to wait for my money ? 

A. We invoice our clients at the end of every month based upon the timesheets you have submitted for the period. We pay you at the same time, we do not wait for the money to come in from the home. 

Q. What happens if the home wants to pay by cash ? 

A. No problem, some homes operate like this but still require an invoice from us for their accounts.  In this instance you need to send us our £10 per visit at the end of the month. 

Q. Am I employed by Calmer Solutions ? 

A. No, you are not employed by us, we are acting as a factor and providing you with work and credit control facilities. 

Q. Do I need insurance ? 

A. Absolutely YES ! You must have your own Public Liability insurance just as you must have to provide Aromatherapy on any member of the public that pays for the service.

Q. What stops me from going direct to the homes and keeping all the money ? 

A. Absolutely nothing, we are honest with you and we hope you will be honest with us. Also, don’t forget that some of these homes are a little slow at paying, we pay you regularly and if you went directly you may have to wait a long time to get your money.

Q. Do I have to buy my oils from you ? 

A. No, you don’t have to but it would be great if you did. As a practitioner you will get a discounted rate for oils which we hope is extremely competitive. 

Q. What happens if I don’t get on at a particular home ? 

A. Just talk to us. We will try and find another practitioner to cover it.
