Calmer Solutions was founded six years ago by Hannah Buck who has spent all her adult life working with adults with learning difficulties. Now a fully qualified Massage and Aromatherapy Practitioner,  Hannah has turned her passion into a solution.

Conventionally an aromatherapist will book one client at a time for a specific period and expect that client’s full attention and cooperation at all time….We all know that life in Residential care doesn’t always work quite like that!

Here at Calmer Solutions we have a team of aromatherapists who are used to working with adults with learning difficulties. We are used to challenging behavior and we understand that what was fun last week may not be today!

Why Aromatherapy ?

• Aromatherapy generally has a calming influence, particularly for people who demonstrate challenging behavior.

• Aromatherapy and massage can be very relaxing, especially for people who are nervous of touch and those who have had long periods of institutionalization.

•  Aromatherapy and massage are generally found to be pleasant experiences to be looked forward to.

• Aromatherapy and massage are an opportunity for your clients to feel special and pampered.  

How we Work

Firstly meeting you and your client group, after all if your guys aren’t comfortable with our Aromatherapist, it’s not going to work.

Maybe give some of your clients a trial session, we know that some may not like being touched, whilst others can be very tactile.

Once a week, once a fortnight, once a month. We can tailor the frequency of our visits to your needs and your purse. Talking of purses, how do we bill you? Some clients will want ten minutes, some half an hour, and not necessarily the same as they had last week, that’s okay, we can go with the flow. We will give you an itemized invoice each week or month, whichever suits you best, and we can work with you, the Care Provider, paying, or the Client, or Social Services.

Every home is different, just as every client is different….we just want to give you a Calmer Solution!

Calmer Solutions Limited was incorporated in November 2003 and has its Registered Office at: Hadresham, Woolborough Lane, Outwood,. Surrey RH1 5QR.

Our Aromatherapists are all Professionally qualified and have full insurance and Enhanced CRB Disclosures. We currently work with NHS Trusts and Charitable and Commercial Care Providers.
