History

Coriander used for thousands of years, making it one of the oldest and most adored herbs and spices. Coriander seeds were discovered in ancient ruins dating back to 5000 BCE when the plant was grown in Persia. It was frequently used as an aroma in the Hanging Gardens of Babylon (one of the seven wonders of the ancient world). The coriander seed is also spoken of in the Bible, where it is compared to manna, the substance that was miraculously supplied as food to the Israelites in the wilderness
