I bought this vetiver oil together with several other essential oils, but the vetiver oil soon became my favorite (together with the sandalwood). I use vetiver as a solid perfume dilluted in only cocoa butter. I am sure it can be used undilluted, but the oil is quite dark on its own, so it can stain.

As men's perfume, this vetiver essential oil is just perfect by itself! I don't think it's very earthy, like vetiver is said to be, but rather refreshing, green, forest, cooling, complex and an overall fresh/woody/"perfumed" masculine scent. So there is no need to add other ingredients, the scent of this vetiver essential oil is all that a man needs. Because it is absolutely masculine, I would say, so women should not use it straight from the bottle without blending with other and more feminine ingredients, unless they want to smell like wearing a man's cologne. But as a base for let's say some fruity notes, I think this vetiver will make them smell like unpicked fruits, still hanging on the tree in a forest on a cloudy and slightly wet day.

Even if this vetiver essential oil is just what it is, an oil from only 1 plant, it does actually smell like a sort of commercially blended aftershave or cologne. I guess it's because it has complexity. But the scent is way better than a commercial product, since it does not smell any synthetic, cheap or badly blended, like many aftershaves do. Nature itself made this cologne, and that's why it's perfect!

I do really appreciate this vetiver oil, will highly recommend it, and will buy myself some more soon.

(I am no expert on vetiver, I have only had this vetiver essential oil. So I cannot compare the quality with other sellers and other vetivers. But for me, the quality of this oil is more than good enough. Without having anything to compare with, I will still say this vetiver is of a very good quality. Because it can not smell this good and be a bad quality, that's impossible).
